In order for you to get the best care for your condition Dr. McCallum likes to be very thorough.  Here's what you can expect at your first visit.

The first step is filling out some forms.  These cover your past health history and current and future health goals.  The paper work is easy to fill out but gives the Doctor a lot of useful information.  If you have trouble will the forms, we will help you. 

We will also check your MSP status and give you billing and fee information. 

The next step is for the Doctor to review your history and look at anything that requires more in depth inquiries.  We want to make sure we don't miss anything!

Next, you will have a physical examination including a Surface EMG.  This is a safe, non-invasive computer technology showing muscle imbalances along the spine.  You will receive a print out of your scan and the cost of this test is included in your initial visit fee.

Posture, chiropractic, neurological and orthopedic tests are done next.  We are checking out the bones, joints and nerves in your body along with your balance to see how everything is working.  If you require x-rays or other tests, you will be sent to your MD for these tests.  Not every patient or condition requires imaging, so we conduct your history and physical examination first to see if these are required.

Dr. McCallum will review all this information, and if there are no red-flags or indications that you have a condition that would benefit more from another type of care you will receive a treatment to help you start feeling better right away.
